About TWC-D:
  • TWC-Delmarva provides a full range of support programs for people with cancer and
    their loved ones, offered in a comfortable, home-like setting, completely free of charge.  
    Services include on-going support groups for both cancer patients and their loved ones,
    networking groups for people with specific types of cancer, educational workshops,
    stress management sessions, and social gatherings…all with laughter, joy and hope.

  • TWC-D's services are available to people with cancer and their loved ones no matter
    what kind of cancer or where they are on their cancer journey. We are here for people
    newly diagnosed, during and after treatment, through long-term survivorship or
    advanced disease.

  • We are solely supported by generous contributions from individuals, small businesses,
    corporations, foundations, bequests and generous civic organizations. We exist
    because of the generosity of our community, which makes our services possible.

Understanding TWC-D's services in cancer support, education and hope:
  • Support for the emotional and social concerns through diagnosis, treatment, long-term
    recovery, survivorship, and advanced disease.
  • Education about what to expect with treatment and its side effects, how to cope and to
    navigate difficult decisions that can often accompany cancer, and how to live well as a
    survivor.
  • Hope gained through being with others who are facing cancer survivorship together.

  • TWC-D's main office is located in Salisbury, MD. Services are also provided at our
    satellite location in Berlin and in Easton. We opened up our Berlin office in October
    2007.

  • Last year we doubled the number of participants served (3,000 in 2008 and 1139 in
    2007) and we also saw a spike in services used (8437 visits in 2008 and 4664 in 2007)
